Lieutenant Colonel Lapierre was born in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated Arizona State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice in May 2009, attended Officer Candidate Course in January 2010, and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in March 2010.
Upon completion of The Basic School and Infantry Officer Course, he was assigned to 2d Battalion, 1st Marines at Camp Pendleton, CA, serving as a rifle platoon commander and company executive officer during his three-year tour deploying once with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
In June 2017, Captain Lapierre checked in to 5th Marines to serve as the Headquarters Company Commander. After a year, Captain Lapierre transferred to 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, serving six months as the Boat Company Commander before assuming the role of Battalion Operations Officer. In November 2019, Captain Lapierre promoted to Major and deployed as the Battalion Landing Team Operations Officer with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. During this deployment, the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit participated in Exercise COBRA GOLD 20 before providing crisis response support in the Indo-Pacific region following the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. After returning from deployment, Major Lapierre assumed the role of Battalion Executive Officer before transferring to Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division to serve as its Battalion Operations Officer. Major Lapierre completed Distance Command and Staff in May 2021 prior to departing Headquarters Battalion.
From June 2021 to June 2024, Major Lapierre served as the Recruiting Station Commanding Officer for Recruiting Station Los Angeles.
Following his tour with Recruiting Station Los Angeles, Major Lapierre served as the Staff Secretary, 1st Marine Division, from July 2024 to July 2025.
In August 2025, Major Lapierre reported to Western Recruiting Region/Marine Corps Recruit Depot and assumed the duties of Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff, Recruiting. He promoted to his current rank of Lieutenant Colonel in November 2025. He completed this third tour with recruiting in May 2026 before transferring to Infantry Training Battalion West in June 2026 to assume command.
Lieutenant Colonel Lapierre and his spouse, Ariana Lapierre, celebrated 17 years of marriage in May 2026. They have two daughters, Briley (15) and Isla (12).
Lieutenant Colonel Lapierre’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (4), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal, and Recruiting Ribbon (2).
